A six-room courtyard house in the stone lanes of Alaçatı
Lodos Taş Ev is a boutique hotel in a century-old stone house in the Hacımemiş quarter. Six rooms sit around an inner courtyard with a small pool; the old bazaar is a five-minute walk and the windsurf bay is ten minutes by car.
The house and courtyard
Thick stone walls keep the rooms cool in summer. During the restoration we kept the original stone, the timber ceilings and the cistern in the courtyard, and rebuilt the bathrooms, heating and insulation to today's standards. Breakfast is served in the courtyard, the pool is in shade by mid-afternoon and the evenings are quiet and candlelit. The house is for adults looking for a calm stay; we do not accept guests under twelve.
