A ranked list of keywords competitors pay for that the client does not cover, checked against search volume, with a keyword addition preview.
When to use it
When competitors seem to cover search terms you don't bid on and you want to find the gaps and add the right keywords.
What you get
A ranked table of up to 30 keyword gaps with volume, bid range, match type and best ad group, plus a ready preview of the top 15 to add after your approval.
Does it change anything in my account?

[account][competitor domains, up to 3][client's product or service scope][max acceptable CPC]
Run a paid keyword gap for Google Ads account [account] against these competitor domains: [competitor domains, up to 3].
Steps:
1. Pull the paid keywords each competitor bids on.
2. Pull our keywords and our search terms from the last 90 days.
3. Keep only the competitor keywords that are not already a keyword in our account and have not appeared as a search term with 20 or more impressions. Those are real gaps.
4. Remove brand terms of any competitor and anything outside [client's product or service scope].
5. For the remaining keywords, get historical metrics: average monthly searches, competition and top-of-page bid range.
Deliverable: a ranked table of up to 30 keywords with these columns: keyword, which competitors bid on it, monthly searches, top-of-page bid range, suggested match type (exact or phrase) and the existing ad group it fits best. Rank by searches multiplied by relevance. Exclude anything whose high top-of-page bid is above [max acceptable CPC].
Then prepare a preview of adding the top 15 to the matching ad groups. Do not add anything until I approve the exact list.
A one-page brief mapping who advertises in the client's market, where, with what message, and where the client stands today.
When to use itWhen you are about to start with a new client and need to understand who they compete against in paid and organic search before the kickoff call.
