Conversion tracking standards check across every client account

Audits every Google Ads account under your MCC against one conversion standard (counting, attribution, lookback, primary actions, GA4 link). Returns a deviation matrix and a prioritized fix list, and applies approved fixes only after a preview.

When to use it

When conversions are set up differently across your client accounts and you can't trust CPA comparisons between them.

What you get

A matrix of every account against your conversion standard with deviations marked and a prioritized fix list, with approved fixes applied only after a preview.

Does it change anything in my account?

Only with your approval. The assistant first shows a preview of every change and waits for your go-ahead.

[primary conversion actions]
I need to confirm that every Google Ads account under our MCC measures conversions the same way. Without that, CPA comparisons in my management reports are meaningless. Our standard is: - Lead actions count "One" (ONE_PER_CLICK). - Purchase actions count "Every" (MANY_PER_CLICK). - Data-driven attribution. - 30-day click-through lookback window. - Only these actions are primary (included in the Conversions column): [primary conversion actions]. Start by listing every client account under the MCC, including all accessible accounts. Then run these checks for each account, one account at a time: 1. Run the conversion tracking health check for the last 30 days. List any action that is paused or removed, and any primary action that recorded zero conversions. A secondary action with zero data is expected, so only note it. 2. Read the conversion actions and their settings: category, counting type, attribution model, click-through lookback window and whether each one is included in the Conversions column. Also read the conversion goals, since in goal-based accounts the goal category decides what is biddable. 3. List our GA4 properties and the Google Ads links on each one. Map each linked Ads customer ID back to the accounts in the matrix, so every account shows which GA4 property it is linked to, or "not linked". Deliverable: a matrix with accounts as rows and these columns: lead counting type, purchase counting type, attribution model, lookback window, primary actions, zero-data primary actions and GA4 link. Mark every deviation from our standard. Below the matrix, list the fixes in priority order. Put a primary action recording zero data first, since it misleads Smart Bidding. For each fix, say how it will be applied: - Counting type or lookback window: set_conversion_settings. - Primary or secondary role: update_conversion_goal in goal-based accounts, update_conversion_action otherwise. - Attribution model, pausing or removing an action: these cannot be changed through the API, so list them as manual steps in the Google Ads interface. Do not change anything yet. Once I approve specific fixes, show a preview of each call and apply it only after I confirm.
