[business name][domain][service or product][city or country][up to 3 competitors][5 to 8 questions that do not name my brand]
My business [business name], site [domain], sells [service or product] in the [city or country] market. My competitors: [up to 3 competitors]. The questions my customers ask AI: [5 to 8 questions that do not name my brand]. This is a read-only, planning job: do not message anyone and do not change anything.
Most citations in AI answers come from third-party pages, not from the brand's own site: comparison lists, forums, directories, review sites. The point of this job is to find those pages and work out how to get onto each of them.
1. Credit check. Use seo_history to find recent runs with these questions and reuse them. Tell me how many new calls are needed.
2. Chat engines. Run seo_geo_tracker with brand=[business name], brand_domain=[domain], the competitors and the question list, engines='chat_gpt,perplexity', repeats=2. Take the top_cited_sources list and the competitors' mention rates. This tool tells you how often each domain is cited, but not the full page URL.
3. Google's AI answers. Run seo_ai_overview for the 4 questions with the strongest commercial intent (target=[domain], location and language for my market). Take the full URL of every source page in each answer. If references is empty, use the links inside the ai_answer text. These page URLs are the main input to the plan.
4. Classify the sources. Put every collected domain into one of these types: my site, competitor site, comparison or "best of" list, forum or community (Reddit, Quora, industry forums), directory or review site (local directories other than Google Maps, Trustpilot, G2 and similar), video, news or blog, official body or encyclopedia. If you are not sure of a domain's type, do not guess, read the page.
5. Read the most cited pages. Read the top 10 third-party pages by citation count with site_read_url and text=true. For each page note: which brands appear and whether mine is there, the format (ranked list, table, Q and A, review), the publish or update date, and whether the page has an application, contact or "suggest a listing" route. If a page cannot be read (403, login required), say so and move on.
6. Compare with my site. If any of my pages are cited, list them. Work out the type of the competitor pages that are cited (pricing page, guide, comparison page) and check with site_read_url whether I have a page of that type.
Format the output like this. First a four-sentence summary. Then a source map table: domain, type, number of answers citing it, for which questions, is my brand on the page. Then a table of the top 10 pages: URL, format, date, brands mentioned, route in. Then three separate task lists:
1. On my site: page types to create or strengthen, and which question each one should answer.
2. Lists and directories: list articles to apply to and directories where a listing should be created or updated, each with its route in.
3. Community: discussions where my brand can contribute naturally.
Rules: do not suggest fake reviews, fake user accounts, hidden paid mentions or dropping ads into forums. If you suggest a paid placement, say it must be clearly marked as sponsored. Where a suggestion is to write to a publisher about updating an old list, give the message as a draft but do not send it. Where the data is not enough for a conclusion, do not guess.
