Prepare the monthly organic ranking update for management for [domain]. Compare the last 30 days with the 30 days before that. I run this in the first days of each month.
1. Read stored rank history for our tracked keywords over the last 60 days. It is free and needs no new credits. If the history does not cover both periods (tracking started recently or was stopped), say so clearly, and use Search Console average position for the missing period instead.
2. From Search Console, pull query and page data for the last 30 days and for the last 60 days. Derive the previous 30 days' clicks and impressions by subtracting the first from the second. Do not subtract positions; take positions from rank history.
3. From GA4, pull sessions and key events by landing page for the last 30 and the last 60 days, split by channel, and keep Organic Search only. Derive the previous period the same way.
Deliver the following:
1. A bucket table showing the count of keywords in the top 3, top 10, positions 11-20 and not ranking, for this period vs the previous one.
2. The top 5 winners and top 5 losers by position change. Include only moves of 3 or more positions. Show the ranking URL, the change in clicks and the change in impressions.
3. Organic sessions and key events for the landing pages behind those winners and losers.
4. A 5-bullet executive summary in plain business language covering what moved, the likely reason and what we do next. If you use an SEO term, explain it in one line.
Flag every keyword whose position improved while clicks fell. That pattern often means a SERP feature or an AI Overview is taking the click, but treat it as a hypothesis. Check seo_history for any AI Overview check already run on those keywords and use it. If I want confirmation for the rest, list them and ask before running new AI Overview checks, since they cost credits.
This is reporting only. Do not change anything.
