[domain][brand][country][language code, e.g. en or tr][paste keywords, one per line][10]
Management is asking whether Google AI Overviews are hurting our organic traffic. Answer this for [domain], brand name [brand], market [country], language [language code, e.g. en or tr].
1. Get the keyword list. Read the stored rank history for [domain] over the last 90 days. This is free and gives each tracked keyword with its latest position. If nothing is tracked, use this list instead: [paste keywords, one per line].
2. Find the Search Console property for [domain] with gsc_list_sites. Then pull performance by query twice, once for the last 90 days and once for the last 180 days. Derive the prior 90 days from these two pulls:
- clicks and impressions = 180-day total minus 90-day total
- CTR = derived clicks ÷ derived impressions
- position ≈ impressions-weighted difference of the two averages (label it as an estimate)
Also pull page, query for the last 90 days so you know which URL ranks for each keyword.
3. Before spending credits, check seo_history and reuse any stored AI Overview or citation results that are still reusable. The AI Overview check costs SEO add-on credits and needs one call per keyword. Tell me how many new calls are needed. If there are more than [10], propose the top [10] by Search Console impressions. Wait for my go-ahead before running them.
4. For each approved keyword, run the AI Overview check with [domain] as the target. Record whether an AI Overview appears, whether we are cited, and which domains are cited instead of us.
5. Run AI-answer citation tracking once for [brand] as an overall baseline of how often we are mentioned in AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
Output a table with these columns: keyword, organic position, AI Overview shown (yes/no), we are cited (yes/no), cited competitors, CTR last 90 days, CTR prior 90 days, CTR change.
Then list the priority keywords that meet all three conditions:
- an AI Overview is shown
- we rank in the top 5 but are not cited
- CTR fell more than 20%
For each priority keyword, name the ranking URL. Using what the AI Overview text says and what the cited sources cover, suggest what our page lacks: for example a direct answer, a definition, a comparison table or updated facts.
Close with 4 plain-language bullets for management, and state clearly which numbers are estimates.
