End-to-end conversion tracking check before launch
Verifies the conversion chain across Google Ads, Tag Manager, GA4 and the live website, flags duplicate tags and unpublished changes, and gives a single Go or No-go verdict.
When to use it
When you are about to launch new campaigns and need to be sure conversions will be tracked correctly across Google Ads, Tag Manager, GA4 and the site.
What you get
A layer-by-layer status table with evidence, a single Go or No-go verdict listing blocking items, and fix previews that wait for your approval.
Does it change anything in my account?
Only with your approval. The assistant first shows a preview of every change and waits for your go-ahead.
Works with
Google Ads, Tag Manager, GA4, WordPress
Fill in before sending
[client account][website URL][thank-you page URL]
Before we launch new campaigns for [client account], verify the conversion chain end to end for [website URL]. This is read-only.
Check each layer:
1. Google Ads: list the conversion actions with status, primary/secondary, counting (One for leads, Every for purchases), lookback window and default value. Flag any primary action with zero conversions in the last 14 days.
2. Tag Manager: find the container this site uses. Confirm which version is live, and list any unpublished workspace changes. If there are none, the workspace tags match the live version; if there are, say which tags may differ from what is live. Then confirm the AW conversion ID and label of each primary action match a Google Ads conversion tag, and that its trigger fires on the real success event or thank-you page, not on every page.
3. GA4: list the key events and confirm the property is linked to this Google Ads account.
4. Website: if the site is connected as a WordPress site, list every place GTM or GA4 fires. Otherwise read the live homepage and [thank-you page URL] and list every GTM container ID and gtag ID in the HTML. Flag duplicates, such as GTM loaded twice, two different containers, or a hard-coded gtag next to GTM, and confirm the container on the site is the one checked in step 2.
Output a table with the columns Layer | Check | Status | Evidence, then a single verdict: Go, or No-go with the blocking items. If something needs fixing, describe the fix and show a preview. Do not publish a GTM container or edit the site without my explicit approval.
