[account name][minimum weekly spend]
Cost per conversion in client account [account name] jumped this week. Find out why.
1. Compare the last 7 days with the previous 7 days by campaign. Cover cost, clicks, CTR, avg. CPC, conversions, conversion rate and CPA. Flag every campaign where CPA rose more than 20% and cost was above [minimum weekly spend].
2. For each flagged campaign, check the likely causes in this order:
- change history for the last 14 days (bids, budgets, bid strategy, keywords, ads, targeting)
- conversion tracking health (paused actions, days with zero conversions)
- impression share lost to budget vs rank
- new ad disapprovals
- new search terms with spend and no conversions
3. Classify each problem as either a volume cause (fewer conversions at similar cost) or a cost cause (higher CPC at a similar conversion rate).
Deliverable: one table per flagged campaign. Columns: metric change, most likely cause, evidence (exact numbers or change records with date and user) and confidence (high/medium/low). End with a 3-sentence explanation I can send to the client.
