Turn Instagram Reels into WhatsApp click-to-message ads

Resolves the ads-usable media ID for each Reel, checks that the target ad set really sends people to WhatsApp, and builds paused ads that keep the original post's engagement. You approve the drafts before anything is created.

When to use it

When you have Instagram Reels that perform well and want to use them as WhatsApp click-to-message ads without losing their likes and comments.

What you get

Paused WhatsApp ads built from each Reel, a check that the ad set really sends people to WhatsApp, and Reels and Stories previews, created only after you approve the draft table.

Does it change anything in my account?

Only with your approval. The assistant first shows a preview of every change and waits for your go-ahead.

[client ad account][Reel links, one per line][client Instagram username][ad set name][daily budget][pre-filled message]
Turn these Instagram Reels into WhatsApp click-to-message ads in our client's Meta ad account [client ad account]: [Reel links, one per line]. The client's Instagram account is [client Instagram username]. 1. Access: Confirm that [client Instagram username] appears among the Instagram accounts usable from this ad account. Then list the Pages for this ad account and tell me which Facebook Page is actually assigned to it. A Page that is only visible to me does not count. If the Instagram account or an assigned Page is missing, stop and tell me what has to be fixed. 2. Media IDs: Try to resolve each Reel link to its ads-usable media ID. A link alone does not always return that ID. When it does not, list the client's Instagram posts and Reels and match each link by its shortcode or permalink, then take the media ID from that list. Never use the internal media_pk as the ad ID. If a Reel is not in the list, or its owner is not [client Instagram username], mark it and ask me to paste its media ID from Ads Manager (Use existing post > Instagram). 3. Ad set check: Read the settings of ad set [ad set name]: optimisation goal, destination type, placements, Page and status. Also list the ads already in it and report any delivery issues, especially error 2490279 (button does not match the ad set's messaging destination). Tell me whether the ad set suits a WhatsApp ad. That means a WhatsApp messaging destination, ideally with conversations optimisation, and placements that include Instagram Reels. If it does not suit, propose the fix but do not apply it. An existing ad set's messaging destination and optimisation goal cannot always be changed after creation, so the fix may have to be a new ad set. In that case, give me its full spec: name, CONVERSATIONS optimisation, WhatsApp destination, assigned Page, daily budget [daily budget], targeting copied from [ad set name], and placements. Create it only after you show me a preview and I approve it, and create it paused. Do not put WhatsApp ads into an ad set whose destination is not WhatsApp. 4. Drafts: For each Reel, draft an ad built from the existing Instagram post so that its likes, comments and views stay on the ad. Use the WhatsApp message button, this pre-filled message: [pre-filled message], and status PAUSED. Run every draft as a preview first and create nothing yet. Show me a table with these columns: Reel link, media ID, how the ID was found (from the link, from the posts list, or pasted by me), views and likes if returned, ad name (format CLIENT_REEL_DATE), button, pre-filled message. Wait for my approval before you create the ads. After creation, do these checks while the ads are still paused: - List the ads in the ad set. Confirm that each new ad is paused and has no delivery issues, and report its ID. - Read each ad's creative. Confirm that the WhatsApp button and the pre-filled message are there and that the ad is still linked to the original Instagram post. - If a creative ID is available, render placement previews in INSTAGRAM_REELS and INSTAGRAM_STORY formats and give me the links. Previews can only be rendered once the ads exist, which is why this step comes after creation.
