Find paid clicks I already win organically and free up that budget

Matches strong organic queries from Search Console with paid search terms and keywords. Checks the live Google results page for competitor ads on each query, then previews bid cuts and pause tests that free budget without losing clicks.

When to use it

When you suspect you pay for Google Ads clicks on queries where you already rank at the top organically.

What you get

A table of overlapping queries with keep, bid cut or pause test recommendations and the monthly spend freed up, applied only after your approval.

Does it change anything in my account?

[site][account][my brand name][target CPA][minimum spend]
I want to stop paying for clicks I would get organically anyway, and move that money to channels that bring new customers. Use the last 90 days. My Search Console property is [site], and my Google Ads account is [account]. 1. From Search Console, pull queries with their clicks, impressions, CTR and average position. Keep the queries where my average position is 3 or better and organic CTR is above 15%. 2. From Google Ads, pull the search terms report and the keyword report for the same 90 days. Match them to those queries by exact text or a close variant. For each match, include clicks, cost and conversions, and note whether it is a keyword in my account or only a search term triggered by a broader keyword. 3. Read each matching campaign's bid strategy from the account snapshot. Keyword bid changes only take effect on manual CPC or Enhanced CPC. On Smart Bidding campaigns, use pause or negative instead of a bid cut. 4. Competitor presence: Google does not expose auction insights per query here, so check the live results page instead. First check SEO history so I do not pay twice for a query that was already scanned. Then run a SERP analysis for the 20 overlapping queries with the highest paid cost, plus [my brand name], and record whether competitor ads appear and which domains run them. Treat this as a snapshot of today's results page, not a 90-day average, and mark queries outside the top 20 as "not checked". Deliver a table with these columns: query, organic position, organic CTR, organic clicks, paid clicks, paid cost, paid conversions, keyword or search term, bid strategy, competitor ads on SERP (yes/no/not checked), recommendation. Use these recommendations: - Keep: competitor ads appear on the SERP, the query was not checked, or paid cost per conversion is below [target CPA]. - Reduce bid by 30%: no competitor ads, organic position 1-2, and the keyword is on manual CPC or Enhanced CPC. - Pause as a 4-week test: no competitor ads, organic position 1, and paid cost above [minimum spend] in the period. If the query is only a search term with no keyword of its own, propose it as an exact match negative on that campaign instead. Total the monthly spend these actions would free, using the 90-day cost divided by 3. Then show previews of the keyword bid changes, the keyword pauses and any negatives, and wait for my approval before applying anything. After 4 weeks I will come back. Then pull the same queries from Search Console and Google Ads for the 4 weeks before and the 4 weeks of the test, and compare total clicks (paid plus organic) and conversions so I can decide whether to keep the changes.
