TikTok creative fatigue audit: keep, refresh or pause each ad

Compares each TikTok ad's recent CTR, cost per conversion and frequency with its earlier performance, gives a keep, refresh or pause verdict, lists unused library videos as replacements and previews any pause before applying it.

When to use it

When your TikTok ads are getting more expensive or CTR is dropping and you suspect people are tired of seeing the same videos.

What you get

A table giving each ad a keep, refresh or pause verdict, a list of unused library videos as replacements, and a preview of the ads to pause for your approval.

Does it change anything in my account?

Only with your approval. The assistant first shows a preview of every change and waits for your go-ahead.

[advertiser account][minimum spend]
Audit creative fatigue in TikTok account [advertiser account]. 1. Pull ad-level daily data for the last 28 days with tiktok_report_query (dimensions ad_id and stat_time_day): spend, impressions, clicks, CTR, conversion, cost_per_conversion, video_watched_2s and video_watched_6s. Pull frequency separately at ad level for the first 14 days and for the last 7 days, without the day dimension, because daily frequency cannot be added up. If a metric is not returned, say so and continue without it. 2. Get ad names, ad groups and the creative each ad runs on (video_id, or tiktok_item_id for Spark ads) from list_tiktok_ads and list_tiktok_adgroups. 3. For each ad that spent at least [minimum spend], compare the last 7 days with the first 14 days. 4. Flag an ad as fatigued if either is true: - CTR fell more than 25% and cost per conversion rose more than 20%. - Frequency in the last 7 days is above 3. Output a table with these columns: ad, ad group, video (video_id or Spark post), days live (days with spend in the 28-day window), CTR (first period vs. last period), cost per conversion (first period vs. last period), frequency, and verdict (keep / refresh / pause). Then compare list_tiktok_videos with the video_ids used by all ads and list the library videos that are not used in any ad. These are replacement candidates. Note that Smart+ ads are not in the standard ad list, so a video used only in Smart+ may show up as unused. If you recommend pausing any ads, prepare it with update_tiktok_ad_status (operation DISABLE, confirm=false), show me the exact list as a preview and wait for my approval before changing any status.
