Management wants to know why our Microsoft Ads CTR trails our Google Ads CTR. Work in Microsoft campaign [Microsoft campaign name]. 1. Find the campaign with list_microsoft_campaigns, its ad groups with list_microsoft_ad_groups, and read every ad in those ad groups with list_microsoft_ads. Keep the ad_group_id and ad_id for each ad. 2. Run microsoft_entity_performance_report with level=ad for the last 60 days and keep only the rows for this campaign. For each ad give impressions, clicks, CTR, conversions and cost per conversion. Calculate the campaign average CTR from those rows. Mark an ad as weak if it has at least 1,000 impressions and a CTR below that average. 3. Get the Google benchmark. Run performance_report with level=campaign and days=60 on the Google Ads account and pull the row for [comparable Google campaign name]. Calculate its CTR from clicks and impressions and put it next to the Microsoft campaign CTR. If no comparable Google campaign exists, use the Google account total and say so. 4. Run microsoft_search_terms_report for the same 60 days. Keep the queries from this campaign if the rows show the campaign, sort by conversions and take the top 30. Check whether our headlines use the wording people actually type in those queries, and list the phrases that appear in converting queries but nowhere in our copy. 5. Run competitor_ads with platform=google for [competitor domain 1] and [competitor domain 2]. These are their Google Ads Transparency Center ads; Microsoft has no public ad library this tool can read, so treat them as a proxy for their Bing messaging, not as confirmed Bing copy. List the claims, offers and proof points they lead with. Deliver: 1) A table of our weak ads with impressions, CTR, conversions, the query wording they miss and the competitor claims we lack. 2) For each weak ad, replacement headlines (30 characters or fewer) and descriptions (90 characters or fewer), keeping Microsoft's limits of 3 to 15 headlines and 2 to 4 descriptions per ad. 3) Two sentences for management explaining the CTR gap, using the real Microsoft and Google CTR figures. Be clear about what the data shows and what is an assumption (for example, that competitors run the same copy on Bing). Show each change as an update_microsoft_responsive_search_ad preview with confirm=false, so the ads are edited in place and keep their history instead of being rebuilt. Wait for my approval before applying anything with confirm=true.
