LinkedIn lead gen form ads are one of the most efficient ways to reach business buyers. The trouble usually starts after the form. New leads pile up in Campaign Manager, and someone has to download them as a CSV, move them into a spreadsheet and pass them to sales. Every one of those steps adds delay, and delay directly lowers your chance of reaching the lead.

With Opus Growth you can now pull those leads through Claude or ChatGPT, right inside the chat. This post explains how it works, what to watch for during setup, and a simple routine that works once the leads arrive.

How pulling leads from the chat works

Ask your assistant something like "Get the LinkedIn leads that came in over the last 24 hours." The assistant first lists the lead forms in your ad account, then downloads the responses submitted in the date range you chose. You can limit it to a single form or pick a wider range.

Responses arrive with readable fields. In LinkedIn's own data, form answers are stored under numeric question IDs, so the raw data does not show which answer is the name and which is the company. Opus Growth matches those IDs to the question names on the form, so fields such as first name, last name, email, phone and company come through in readable form.

Test leads sent from Campaign Manager can be kept separate as well. Records you submitted while setting up the form do not get mixed into your real lead list.

Why speed matters so much

How quickly you follow up is one of the strongest factors in whether you get a conversation at all. Someone who has just filled in the form is still thinking about the topic, while the next day they are busy with something else.

That is why a once-a-day download habit causes a quiet loss. The ad reached the right person and the form was completed, but the lead waits for hours. Being able to pull leads with one sentence whenever you need them shortens that wait.

What to watch for during setup

You also need a role on the company page. To read leads, LinkedIn requires a role on the company page the lead form belongs to, in addition to your role on the ad account. If you do not have a role such as administrator or lead gen forms manager, LinkedIn refuses access. In that case Opus Growth tells you the reason and the fix in plain words.

You may need to renew an older connection. Reading leads is a separate permission, so if you connected your LinkedIn account before this feature, you need to approve the connection once more.

Keep form fields simple. LinkedIn prefills most fields from the profile, which makes adding fields easy, but every extra field lowers the share of people who complete the form. In most cases name, work email and company are enough. A phone field noticeably reduces conversions, so do not ask for it unless you really need it.

Do not leave the thank-you screen empty. The screen shown after submission is the only place where you can move the person to a next step. Put something concrete there, such as a calendar link, a downloadable document or information about when you will call.

After the lead arrives

The technical part ends here and the real work begins. A simple routine that works: pull leads at regular intervals during the day, make first contact within the same business day, and record the outcome of that first contact.

The last step is usually skipped, yet it is the most valuable one. The ad dashboard tells you which campaign brought leads. Which campaign brought customers you only know if you record the outcomes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do leads arrive automatically?

No. You pull leads when you want them by asking your assistant. It fetches the responses for the date range you choose from LinkedIn and returns them with readable fields.

Can I also get leads that came in earlier?

Yes. Choose a wider date range to download responses from previous days as well.

I get an access error when pulling leads. Why?

There are two common reasons. You may not have a role on the company page the lead form belongs to, or your LinkedIn connection may have been set up before the lead permission was added. For the first, ask the page administrator for a role; for the second, approve the connection again.

How many fields should the form have?

As few as possible. Name, work email and company are enough in most cases. A phone field noticeably lowers the share of people who complete the form.
